ABOUT SINNAMON

 

Sinnamon Love is a retired adult film star & fetish model. She is a  freelance, contributing writer for hip hop, parenting and feminist websites and academic books. In 2011, Sinnamon Love launched an internet radio show called Sex, Love & Hip Hop onDTFRadio.com; a relationship and lifestyle round table featuring well known Hip Hop artists, community leaders and activists discussing a range of topics pertinent to the advancement of an extremely underserved community. Love, too, has recently launched a live interview series held monthly, entitled: Sex, Love & Hip Hop Presents an Intimate Evening with….” where Love hosts an evening of reflective conversation and talkback with some of hip hops most respected artists.

 

From 1993-2010, Love appeared in over 250 hardcore movies, numerous men’s magazines and countless appearances on Playboy TV & Radio. In 2010, Sinnamon took on a year long tour with The Punany Poets of HBO’s “Real Sex” fame, a sex positive erotic poetry & sex education theater show prior to retiring from the adult industry. Love’s 17 year on camera career and educational background has made her an expert in the field related to pornography, sex work, human sexuality and other related subjects – making her an in demand guest lecturer at universities and feminist conferences.

 

She is an outspoken Autism/ Asperger’s parent advocate and has recently taken on improving sex education in Inner City schools.

 

Sinnamon prides herself in being a black feminist pornographer & educator, (despite being a retired performer,) & speaks on a wide range of topics including hip hop, sex education, relationships, BDSM, sex work, pornography, feminism, parenting and raising both neurotypical & Autistic teenagers. Her sense of humor and straight forward approach brings levity to even the most serious topics making her lectures entertaining and informative.

 

Sinnamon’s 19 year film career in the adult industry as a performer, producer and director make her the longest running African-American female adult star in the industry. Her ability to articulate her experience for academics and laymen alike grant an insiders view into the industry like no other. She has lectured at several colleges and universities and sat on panels alongside other noted feminists discussing sex work, pornography, feminism and sexuality.

 

Sinnamon's passion for food and non-celiac gluten sensitivity and wheat allergy prompted her latest project, CanelasKitchen.com, where Sinnamon shares gluten-free versions of comfort food recipes she grew up on.
